(01) — Case Study

VoraPOS.

A resilient desktop POS engineered for heavy-inventory retail. Offline-first transactional integrity, sub-second barcode and catalogue search, and intelligent parts indexing tailored directly to inventory datasets.

Role — POS Engineering Stack — C# / WPF · SQL Server Sector — Heavy-inventory retail
VoraPOS dual-screen terminal inventory and sales dashboard
Sub-second
Parts lookup across heavy SKU catalogs, even mid-rush
Offline-first
Local transactional integrity through power and network drops
WPF + SQL
Desktop architecture built for continuous counter operation
The Challenge

Heavy-inventory retailers needed instant parts lookup across huge SKU catalogs, with zero tolerance for a frozen till during a power cut or a dropped connection.

The Approach

We built a desktop WPF terminal with local transactional integrity at its core — every sale, return, and stock adjustment commits locally first, then syncs, so the counter never waits on a connection.

The Outcome

Cashiers get sub-second parts lookup and barcode processing even against large inventory datasets, with the register staying live through outages that would stall a cloud-only POS.
